Research Interests
My name is Connor S. Murray and I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Virginia studying the evolutionary forces that generate and maintain genetic diversity in the wild. I use population genetics and bioinformatics to better understand how functional genetic diversity is distributed across a species range. I mainly use Daphnia pulex in my dissertation but I have conducted several case studies using Drosophila, Barnacles, and eukaryotic microbes. I am currently examining divergence within the Daphnia pulex species complex. Contact me if you have any interest in my work, suggestions, or questions!
I am currently working under the supervision of Dr. Alan O. Bergland and his lab at The University of Virginia. Click to learn more about the Bergland Lab and our projects.
